Commencing the beginning of the 2025 academic year, the College is seeking to recruit a Classroom Teacher with an added Position of Responsibility as the Inclusion Support Coordinator (ISC). There is an opportunity to commence Term 4, 2024 to undertake an extensive handover with the current ISC.

<p>St John&#39;s Catholic College Darwin is a Day, Boarding and International College for Students in Years 7 - 12.</p><p>Commencing the beginning of the 2025 academic year, the College is seeking to recruit a Classroom Teacher with an added Position of Responsibility as the Inclusion Support Coordinator (ISC). There is an opportunity to commence Term 4, 2024 to undertake an extensive handover with the current ISC. </p><p><strong>Inclusion Support Coordinator Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain membership and regular involvement with appropriate professional associations for networking, collegiate support and maintenance of professional standards of Inclusion Support Coordinators.</li><li>Work collaboratively with students, parents / guardians, college staff (including boarding and the health centre), the Catholic Education Office, the Department of Education and other relevant individuals and organisations for the appropriate provision of service for the Inclusion Support programs.</li><li>Coordinate, develop and implement an appropriate Inclusion Support program to ensuring the approach meets the social, emotional and educational needs of students with inclusive needs.</li><li>Coordinate and manage a team of support staff, including: Inclusion Support Practitioner/Administrator, School Officer: Classroom Assistants, Inclusion Support Assistants and Learning Nest Tutors to maximise student support.</li><li>Contribute as an active member of the Teaching and Learning Team and coordinate regular Inclusion Support meetings for appropriate school-based staff.</li><li>Manage the data collection, funding application and request for service process to maximise support for students with inclusive needs.</li><li>Liaise with the Finance Manager, Operations Manager and Line Manager regarding the allocation and acquittal of the inclusion support budget. </li><li>Coordinate and support where appropriate the Learning Nest (after school homework centre). </li><li>Engage parents / guardians of students with inclusive needs in the Inclusion Support process to ensure the regular two-way communication of information to best support the educational needs of their children.</li><li>Where requested, support the Principal in the enrolment process of students with inclusive needs.</li><li>Provide professional learning opportunities to teaching and inclusion support staff to build capacity to better support gifted and talented students, and students with additional needs.</li><li>Monitor, review and make recommendations regarding the Inclusion Support program at the College.<strong> </strong></li></ul><p><strong>Teaching and Other Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Teaching and other duties inline with a teaching staff member of the College. </li><li>Any other duties as directed by the identified member of the Strategic Leadership Team.  </li></ul><p><strong>Learn More:</strong></p><p>Learn more by visiting our website: <a href="https://www.stjohnsnt.catholic.edu.au/" rel="nofollow">https://www.stjohnsnt.catholic.edu.au/</a> </p><p><strong>Limited temporary 1 bedroom short term accommodation (up to 10 weeks) available at a low cost rate to support the successful applicant (if required).</strong></p><p><strong>How To Apply:</strong></p><p>St John&#39;s Catholic College is committed to a Child Safe school environment and has extensive recruitment and screening processes in place. </p><p>Please note we will be screening applications and scheduling interviews as applications are received; therefore, the role may be filled prior to the closing date.</p><p>To apply, please submit a cover letter, resume including three professional referees, response to the ISC responsibilities, TRB NT Registration Certificate and copy of Ochre Card to the Principal at: principal.stjohns&#64;nt.catholic.edu.au</p>
