<p>St John&#39;s Catholic College Darwin is a Day, Boarding and International College for Students in Years 7 - 12. </p><p>St John’s Catholic College is calling for applications from suitably qualified and experienced teachers to apply for the positions of Heads of Faculty (2 positions available). The positions have become available following a restructure of the Teaching and Learning Team. Heads of Faculty are responsible for a portfolio of subjects broadly divided into the following categories:</p><p>- Religious Education </p><p>- STEM</p><p>- HPE and the Arts</p><p>- English and Humanities </p><p>Please note that the positions are teaching roles with additional time release and financial allocation for POR duties.</p><p><b>Please note we will be screening applications and scheduling interviews as applications are received; therefore, the role may be filled prior to the closing date.</b></p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Essential Criteria:</b></p><p>1. A demonstrated understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission. </p><p>2. Ability to plan, prepare and deliver teaching and learning programs to meet the diverse characteristics, needs and learning styles of students; which are consistent with relevant curriculum policies, work programs and education trends. </p><p>3. Knowledge of and the ability to implement effective and inclusive teaching and learning processes, including the use of learning technology and assessment, to establish a challenging learning environment in which students are encouraged to work towards attainment of their potential. </p><p>4. Ability to communicate effectively with students, their families and the wider community through appropriate interpersonal skills. </p><p>5. Ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour management strategies that contribute to establishing and maintaining a supportive learning environment. </p><p>6. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with school staff, parents and members of the local school community in order to establish and develop productive partnerships, in an intercultural environment to achieve optimal educational outcomes. </p><p>7. Commitment to maintain current and relevant professional learning and meet the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. </p><p>8. Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory and a current Working with Children Clearance (NT).</p><p><br /></p><p><b>Highly Desired Criteria:</b><br /></p><p>1. Relevant qualifications and/or experience for the Learning Area.</p><p>2. Qualifications and/or experience in working with students from an EALD / diverse range of  backgrounds.</p><p>3. Demonstrated knowledge of: AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, Australian Curriculum, SACE, NTCET and ATAR.</p><p>4. Accreditation C and engagement with professional learning for Middle Leaders / Aspiring Leaders.</p><p>5. Capacity to lead learning and manage a team that supports improved education outcomes.</p><p>6. Ability to be part of a solutions focused team valuing diversity and inclusion.</p><p>7. Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.</p><p>8.
