This key leadership position provides strategic oversight of the College's Music program, including Academic Music, Performance Music and Music Tuition. Working closely with Music staff and broader College leadership, the Director of Music will lead a connected and thriving music culture that inspires excellence, participation and growth in students from Prep to Year 12.

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Leadership of the Academic Music Program</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of the P–12 Academic Music curriculum.</li> <li>Promote excellence in teaching, learning, assessment and student achievement.</li> <li>Lead and develop Music Department staff through mentoring, collaboration and professional growth.</li> <li>Ensure curriculum, assessment and reporting practices meet relevant requirements and standards.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Leadership of the Co-Curricular Music Program</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide strategic leadership of the College's Performance Music and Music Tuition programs.</li> <li>Foster strong alignment between classroom music, instrumental tuition and performance opportunities.</li> <li>Support the planning and delivery of concerts, productions, ensembles and other special music events.</li> <li>Build strong relationships with students, families and the broader College community to promote engagement in music.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Teaching Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Undertake classroom teaching as required.</li> <li>Contribute to the pastoral, co-curricular and wider life of the College.</li> <li>Model professional practice and support the Christian ethos and values of the College.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant will demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>Proven leadership experience within a school music environment.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of contemporary music curriculum, pedagogy and assessment.</li> <li>Experience leading and developing staff in a collaborative setting.</li> <li>A passion for developing young musicians and encouraging broad student participation.</li> <li>Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.</li> <li>A commitment to the Christian ethos and values of Redeemer Lutheran College.</li> <li>Current Queensland College of Teachers registration, or eligibility to obtain registration.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join Redeemer?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead a highly regarded and well-established P–12 Music program.</li> <li>Work within a collaborative and supportive leadership culture.</li> <li>Access outstanding facilities and resources.</li> <li>Enjoy ongoing professional learning opportunities.</li> <li>Help shape the future direction of music education and performance at the College.</li> </ul>
