The Sir David Martin Foundation Library caters to the wide-ranging needs of a Kindergarten to Year 12 School. This position is from 26 October to the end of Term 4, on a full time temporary basis due to staff leave. The applicant will need broad experience across K–12 within a school library environment. Reporting to the Head of the Library & Information Services, the successful applicant will play an active role in promoting the Library to ensure that it is conducive to learning and is a welcoming environment for students.

<p><strong>Full time temporary - 26 October to 10 December</strong></p> <p><i>“Central Coast Grammar School (CCGS) is committed to the safety, protection, and wellbeing of all our students and children involved in activities at CCGS. Reporting to the Head of the Library &amp; Information Services, the successful applicant will play an active role in promoting the Library to ensure that it is conducive to learning and is a welcoming environment for students.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;To be successful you will need to possess and demonstrate:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate&nbsp;Teacher Librarian qualifications and accreditation in NSW&nbsp;</li> <li>Eligible for membership of ALIA and ASLA&nbsp;</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of the NSW Curriculum&nbsp;</li> <li>Wide experience as a proficient Teacher Librarian across K-12, with a focus on K-6</li> <li>Evidence of innovative teaching and learning practices &amp; the capacity to cater for different learning needs&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to extend the Library’s Inquiry-Based Learning programme&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>High level proven skills in digital literacy and ICT&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficient use and promotion of online databases&nbsp;</li> <li>Curation of information resources to support student learning&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of contemporary literature for children and adolescents&nbsp;</li> <li>Working knowledge of the Oliver Library System&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Good administrative skills, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to prioritise and work as part of a team&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to create a warm and welcoming patron focused environment&nbsp;</li> <li>A commitment to the strategic direction and ethos of the school&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Interested applicants should familiarise themselves with the School’s Strategic Plan ‘<i>A School for Good Character &amp; Practical Wisdom’</i>, available on our website at&nbsp;<a href="http://www.ccgs.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">www.ccgs.nsw.edu.au</a>.
