As a Senior School Pastoral Care Leader, you will play a vital role in creating a Christ-centred community where students experience belonging, grow in character and faith, and are supported to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.</p> <p>Working closely with the Deputy Head of Senior School, Other Pastoral Care Leaders, Homegroup teachers and families, the Pastoral Care Leader provides strategic leadership for student wellbeing across a House. This is a role for a relational leader who is passionate about seeing young people thrive and who can build a culture of high support, high expectations and genuine care.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The Senior School Pastoral Care Leader provides leadership that strengthens student wellbeing, belonging and engagement through proactive pastoral systems, restorative practices and meaningful relationships. The role supports staff to deliver outstanding pastoral care while working collaboratively with families and external agencies to ensure students receive the support they need to flourish.</p> <p>The successful applicant will:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the pastoral care and wellbeing of students within a Senior School House.</li> <li>Develop a culture of belonging, connection and positive relationships where every student is known and valued.</li> <li>Equip and support Homegroup teachers to provide consistent, high-quality pastoral care.</li> <li>Use wellbeing, engagement and attendance data to identify emerging needs and coordinate timely interventions.</li> <li>Lead restorative conversations and support positive student behaviour through relational practices.</li> <li>Partner closely with families, recognising parents as their child's first and most influential educators.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with counsellors, learning support staff and school leaders to provide holistic support for students.</li> <li>Champion student voice, leadership opportunities and House culture that fosters pride, participation and service.</li> <li>Support the spiritual formation of students by modelling Christian faith and encouraging growth in character, purpose and discipleship.</li> <li>Contribute to the strategic development of wellbeing initiatives aligned with the school's vision for Thriving Students.</li> <li>Includes a teaching load</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>You are an experienced educator who is deeply committed to the wellbeing and development of young people.
