<p>An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate educator to join our Learning and Teaching Team as an Instructional Leader. This key leadership position plays a vital role in strengthening contemporary learning and teaching practice across the College through curriculum leadership, pedagogical coaching and professional formation.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Working closely with the Head of Learning and Teaching and colleagues across the College, the Instructional Leader will support the ongoing development of curriculum, build teacher capacity and foster a culture of collaboration, reflection and continuous improvement.</p>

<p>This is a POL4 position for 2027 with an ongoing teaching appointment.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>As the Instructional Leader, you will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and support the development of contemporary curriculum and pedagogical practices that enhance student learning and engagement.</li>
<li>Coach and mentor colleagues through professional conversations, modelling effective practice and supporting ongoing growth.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Learning Area Leaders and teaching staff to strengthen evidence-informed approaches to learning, assessment and instruction.</li>
<li>Contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation of innovative learning programs aligned with the needs of students and the mission of the College.</li>
<li>Promote a culture of collective efficacy, professional inquiry and continuous improvement across the College.</li>

<p><strong>We are looking for someone who has:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and a reputation as an exemplary classroom practitioner.</li>
<li>Highly developed knowledge of contemporary pedagogy, curriculum design and evidence-informed teaching practices.</li>
<li>The ability to build authentic, life-giving relationships and influence positive change through coaching and collaboration.</li>
<li>A commitment to the Catholic identity and mission of St Columba’s College, with appropriate accreditation to teach in a Catholic school and/or accreditation to teach Religious Education.</li>
<li>A commitment to ongoing professional learning, with postgraduate study in learning and teaching and/or National Teacher Certification Accreditation (HALT) highly regarded.</li>
