Seymour College is seeking an inspiring and forward-thinking educational leader to lead our Science Department commencing Term 1 2027.

<p>This is a five-year tenure Position of Responsibility appointment with an ongoing substantive teaching position at Seymour College. As the Head of Science, you will:</p>

<li>Lead the strategic direction and continuous improvement of the Science Department.</li>
<li>Drive excellence in curriculum design, assessment and contemporary pedagogical practice.</li>
<li>Use student achievement data to inform teaching and improve learning outcomes.</li>
<li>Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of educators.</li>
<li>Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and professional growth.</li>
<li>Support students through curriculum guidance, enrichment opportunities and pathways advice.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with colleagues across the College to ensure a seamless learning journey for students.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About you:</strong></p>
<p>The successful candidate will demonstrate:</p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience as an outstanding Science educator with a passion for student learning.</li>
<li>Strong leadership capability with the ability to inspire, mentor and develop others.</li>
<li>Experience leading curriculum, assessment and teaching improvement initiatives.</li>
<li>A strategic mindset and commitment to evidence-informed practice.</li>
<li>Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.</li>
<li>A commitment to fostering high expectations, innovation and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>An understanding of the developmental needs of adolescent girls and a commitment to supporting student wellbeing.</li>
<li>Current South Australian Teaching Registration, WWCC, RRHAN-EC Fundamentals & Masterclass certification, and First Aid in an education setting.</li>
