<p>St Columba's College is an inclusive and vibrant Catholic secondary school for girls, founded in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity. Located in Essendon, the College is committed to empowering young women through contemporary learning experiences that nurture faith, excellence, leadership and service. </p>
<p>We are seeking an outstanding educational leader to join us as the Learning Area Leader – Performing Arts. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate educator to lead and further develop a dynamic Performing Arts program that inspires creativity, collaboration and excellence in student learning. </p>
<p>This is a parental leave backfill to commence early Term 4 2026 until the end of 2027. The teaching load will include Drama and Dance classes. </p>
<p><strong>As the Learning Area Leader – Performing Arts, you will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Performing Arts Learning Area.</li>
<li>Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs in accordance with College priorities and curriculum requirements.</li>
<li>Promote excellence in learning and teaching through coaching, mentoring and supporting staff within the Learning Area.</li>
<li>Foster innovative, engaging and contemporary approaches to Performing Arts education.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>We are looking for someone who has:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven leadership experience and the ability to inspire, lead and support colleagues.</li>
<li>Demonstrated expertise in contemporary curriculum, pedagogy and assessment practices within Performing Arts education.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and senior secondary pathways relevant to Performing Arts.</li>
<li>Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students and families.</li>
<li>Experience in using student learning data to inform practice and improve educational outcomes.</li>
<li>Excellent organisational, administrative and project management skills.</li>
<li>A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and professional learning.</li>
