The Director of Ministry is responsible for ensuring the Charism of Edmund Rice and Catholic Values underpin all aspects of College life.

<p>Parade College is a member of the national body of Catholic schools known as Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA). The College aims to help young people grow into well-rounded individuals who will make a meaningful contribution to society. <p>Parade College is the oldest Edmund Rice School in Australia, dating back to 1871, and has a proud history of excellence in the education and pastoral care. Parade offers a multitude of curriculum options for students, whatever their interest may be; from academic, sporting, music, visual arts and trade options.</p>
<p>The College is pleased to announce, our VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) program at Parade College became co-educational in 2025. The College welcomes full-time female student enrolments for the first time in our long history, into Year 11 in 2025. Starting in Term 1 2025, our VCE Vocational Major program, based at our Preston campus, has expanded our student offerings by introducing a new Tertiary Pathways Program. The Tertiary Pathways Program includes a second stream of our highly successful Sport Academy, along with a new Business Academy. Both academies provide a bespoke educational opportunity that allow students to gain direct entry into a number of undergraduate tertiary courses at La Trobe University upon completion of the two-year course. </p>
<p>The professional environment for staff at Parade College emphasises innovation, the importance of lifelong learning and quality relationships between staff, students and the College community.</p>
<p><strong>The Position</strong></p>

<p>One of the key elements of our Strategic Plan 2022-2026: Education in Faith is to: '<i>To consolidate and deepen the College’s strong identity as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition by continuing to cultivate an understanding and appreciation of the person of Jesus through the lens of Edmund Rice as expressed in the EREA Touchstones.'</i></p>
<p>The position of Director of Ministry is a member of the College Leadership Team. The Director of Ministry is appointed by the Principal and is responsible for ensuring the Charism of Edmund Rice and Catholic Values underpin all aspects of College life, in order to promote opportunities for spiritual growth and development for all in the community. This includes supporting the goals of the College Mission, Vision and Values, through modelling of personal growth and development and a style of leadership which is rooted in service.</p>
<p>The Director of Ministry is responsible for inspiring and coordinating the work of the Ministry Team, and also works closely with a number of staff such as the Learning Area Leader, Religious Education, Convenor of Religious Education, Convenor of Community Action, and Religious Education Teachers. </p>
<p>The successful candidate for this position will commence 27 January 2027. The leadership appointment is for a three year term, with an ongoing teaching position associated with this appointment. This position attracts a generous Position of Leadership Allowance and time allowance per cycle.</p>
