<p>We are seeking an experienced and passionate <strong>Head of Diverse Learning</strong> to lead and strengthen inclusive educational practices across the College. This key leadership position is responsible for supporting students with diverse educational needs, guiding a dedicated team of professionals, and working collaboratively with staff, students and families to ensure every learner is empowered to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be a strategic and compassionate educator with a strong commitment to student wellbeing, evidence-informed practice, and fostering a culture of inclusion and excellence.&nbsp;This is a <strong>Permanent Full-Time position</strong> commencing in <strong>January 2027</strong>.</p> <p>As part of St Patrick's College's commitment to the education of every child, we have established a highly regarded Diverse Learning Team that provides a range of targeted interventions and supports for students across Years 5–12. The Head of Diverse Learning will lead the Learning Enrichment and Learning Support teams, oversee the implementation of inclusive practices, and work closely with teaching staff to build their capacity to effectively support diverse learners within the classroom.</p> <p>The successful applicant will maintain a teaching allocation and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. You will be a strong collaborator with proven success in delivering high-quality educational outcomes through effective pedagogy, sound classroom management, and a deep understanding of curriculum and contemporary educational practice. You will be passionate about supporting all students to thrive and achieving the best possible learning outcomes for every learner.&nbsp;The Head of Diverse Learning attracts a <strong>3-point Coordinator allowance and up to 0.8 FTE time release</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>A working understanding of, and commitment to, the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition.</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice.</li> <li>Qualified Secondary Teacher (note subject/s you are qualified to teach – Philosophy desirable) with NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.</li> <li>Postgraduate qualifications in one or more areas related to special education, inclusive education and/or gifted education or working towards one.</li> <li>Experience in data analysis for monitoring student achievement.</li> <li>Proven experience and ability to plan, implement, model, monitor and evaluate teaching programs for students making suitable adjustments for students with additional learning enrichment or support needs in conjunction with regular classroom teachers.</li> <li>Demonstrated excellence as a classroom practitioner.</li> <li>Leadership experience in learning or curriculum areas.</li> <li>Proven track record of leading teams of teachers and/or direct reports</li> <li>Understanding of administration requirements pertaining to NCCD and NESA Disability Provisions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join Us</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>St Patricks College is a Catholic school for boys in the Edmund Rice tradition, educating over 1,630 students from Years 5 to 12.
