We are seeking a dynamic <strong>Assistant Head of Department (7-12) - English,</strong> to support the Head of Department with a passion to inspire students, support departmental goals, and contribute to a collaborative school culture that values reflective practice and lifelong learning. While the teaching component of the role is ongoing and permanent, the leadership aspect is offered as a valuable fixed-term opportunity for an initial period of three years, with potential for renewal or future leadership pathways. <li>An ability to work closely with colleagues, students, and families to support a positive learning environment.</li>
<li>Foster a student centred learning environment with high expectations.</li>
<li>Attentive to pastoral care needs and proactive in supporting student development.</li>

<li>Qualified, NESA registered teacher with WWCC.</li>
<li>Proven expertise in curriculum planning, assessment, and data driven teaching.</li>
<li>Outstanding communication, mentorship, and team building skills.</li>

<li>Confident in integrating digital tools into teaching and learning programs.</li>
<li>Commitment to pastoral care, student engagement, and wellbeing.</li>
