Care.</strong> — we are committed to fostering a supportive, innovative, and high-performing environment for both students and staff.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our staff and strengthening our workplace culture.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>As the <strong>People &amp; HR Officer</strong>, you will be a central point of contact for staff, delivering high-quality human resources and administrative support across the College.</p> <p>Working closely with the Principal and Business Manager, you will contribute to effective workforce practices while upholding confidentiality, professionalism, and the values of Lutheran education.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Human Resources &amp; Administration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employment changes, and separations</li> <li>Maintain accurate and confidential staff records and HR documentation</li> <li>Support contracts, policies, and compliance processes</li> <li>Provide guidance to staff on employment conditions and processes</li> </ul> <p><strong>Recruitment &amp; Induction</strong></p> <ul> <li>Coordinate recruitment processes, including advertising, scheduling, and communication</li> <li>Support interview logistics and documentation</li> <li>Coordinate onboarding and induction for new staff</li> </ul> <p><strong>Payroll &amp; Remuneration Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist with payroll processing, reporting, and reconciliations</li> <li>Maintain staff leave and entitlement records</li> <li>Prepare salary calculations, superannuation, and compliance documentation</li> <li>Support statutory reporting and payroll compliance</li> </ul> <p><strong>General Administration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide administrative support to the Business Manager and leadership team</li> <li>Utilise HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office tools</li> <li>Assist with general office operations as required</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a candidate who is:</p> <p>✔ Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail<br> ✔ Approachable, professional, and service-oriented<br> ✔ Able to maintain strict confidentiality<br> ✔ A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills<br> ✔ Capable of working independently and prioritising workload<br> ✔ Experienced in HR administration, payroll support, or similar roles<br> ✔ Proficient in Microsoft Office and administrative systems</p> <p>Desirable:</p> <ul> <li>Certificate in administration or similar qualification</li> <li>Experience in education or a similar environment</li> <li>Understanding of employment legislation, awards, and agreements</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personal Qualities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Commitment to the values and mission of a Christian school</li> <li>Initiative and a proactive mindset</li> <li>Collaborative team approach</li> <li>Integrity, reliability, and professionalism</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join Navigator College?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Be part of a supportive and values-driven community</li> <li>Contribute to shaping the future of education</li> <li>Work in a collaborative and professional environment</li> <li>Enjoy a meaningful role supporting staff and organisational success</li> </ul>
