<p>St Columba's College Ltd is a Catholic secondary girls' school located in Essendon under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and conducted in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity.</p>

Our Food Studies faculty is a dynamic and collaborative team committed to engaging students in meaningful learning about food, nutrition, culture, and sustainability.</p>
<p>We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable <strong>Food Studies Teacher</strong> to join our learning community. The successful candidate will inspire students to explore the world of food, develop essential skills, and understand the impact of food choices on health, society, and the environment. This is an ongoing part time (0.5 to 0.6 FTE) position to commence at the beginning of 2026.</p>
<p>The classes will include (may be subject to change):</p>
<ul>
<li>Year 7 Design and Technologies - Food</li>
<li>Year 10 Design and Technologies - Food</li>
<li>VCE Food Studies</li>
</ul>
<p>You will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons</li>
<li>Support students in developing food preparation, planning, and analytical skills</li>
<li>Incorporate contemporary issues such as nutrition, sustainability, and ethical food production</li>
<li>Model the values and mission of Catholic education through relationships, curriculum and daily interactions</li>
<li>Work collegially to shape a positive learning culture across the College</li>
</ul>
<p>We want to hear from you if you are an educator who:</p>
<ul>
<li>Holds current registration (VIT) and relevant tertiary qualifications</li>
<li>Holds accreditation to teach in a Catholic School (or willing to obtain)</li>
<li>Experience in teaching Food Studies or related practical subjects</li>
<li>Values collaboration, professional growth, and student-centred learning</li>
