<p>Trinity Anglican School is a coeducational, independent school located in the tropical North Queensland city of Cairns. Established in 1983, Trinity Anglican School delivers excellence in education across its two campuses at Kewarra Beach and White Rock. With a mission to nurture young men and women of character, TAS combines a values-based Anglican tradition with a vision to become the leading school in regional Queensland. The comprehensive P–12 program empowers students through personalised learning, innovation, and strong pastoral care. <p>Reporting to the Principal, the Head of Secondary is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, providing leadership, encouragement and pastoral care to staff, students and families. This role is responsible for planning and implementing programs to meet strategic objectives and maintaining a positive culture within the Secondary School. </p>
<p><strong>The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in an independent school setting, and committed to promoting the Anglican ethos and values within the school.</li>
<li>Demonstrated expertise in developing and leading pastoral care programs that support student wellbeing, engagement and growth.</li>
<li>Proven capacity to lead strategic initiatives and manage change effectively, fostering innovation in student programs, pathways and staff development.</li>
<li>Experience in supporting and developing high-performing teams through collaborative leadership, mentoring and professional learning.</li>
<li>Capability to manage the operational and administrative functions of the Secondary School, including compliance, finances and events.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills that build trust and genuine partnerships with students, families, staff and the wider community.</li>
</ul>
<p>With a commencement date in January 2026, applicants must hold tertiary qualifications in education, have the right to work in Australia, and hold or be eligible for Queensland teacher registration. </p>
