This role is responsible for planning and implementing programs to meet strategic objectives and maintaining a positive culture within the Secondary School.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in an independent school setting, and committed to promoting the Anglican ethos and values within the school.</li> <li>Demonstrated expertise in developing and leading pastoral care programs that support student wellbeing, engagement and growth.</li> <li>Proven capacity to lead strategic initiatives and manage change effectively, fostering innovation in student programs, pathways and staff development.</li> <li>Experience in supporting and developing high-performing teams through collaborative leadership, mentoring and professional learning.</li> <li>Capability to manage the operational and administrative functions of the Secondary School, including compliance, finances and events.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills that build trust and genuine partnerships with students, families, staff and the wider community.</li> </ul> <p>With a commencement date in January 2026, applicants must hold tertiary qualifications in education, have the right to work in Australia, and hold or be eligible for Queensland teacher registration.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Is the Cairns life for me?</strong> Living and working in a world class holiday destination is as good as it sounds.
