<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Leadership &amp; Staff Management</strong></p> <p>- Oversee and support staff to ensure professional conduct and punctuality, including attendance to classes and duties on time.<br> - Provide clear direction for staff regarding school routines, expectations, and responsibilities.<br> - Organise and chair high school staff meetings as required.</p> <p><strong>Student Behaviour &amp; Discipline</strong></p> <p>- Implement and monitor consistent behaviour management practices across the high school.<br> - Respond to and manage significant student behaviour incidents in collaboration with staff and the Principal.<br> - Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment in line with school policies.</p> <p><strong>Parent &amp; Community Engagement</strong></p> <p>- Meet with parents and carers when required to discuss student progress, behaviour, or wellbeing.<br> - Communicate professionally and promptly with families regarding issues or initiatives.<br> - Represent the high school at community events and maintain strong parent-school partnerships.</p> <p><strong>Operations &amp; Compliance</strong></p> <p>- Ensure compliance with ACT education regulations, school policies, and child protection requirements.<br> - Monitor attendance and punctuality of both staff and students, addressing issues where necessary.<br> - Oversee operational logistics such as timetables, events, and supervision rosters.<br> - Contribute to reports and documentation required by the Principal and governing bodies.</p> <p><strong>Administration &amp; Resource Management</strong></p> <p>- Assist with allocation of resources and facilities for Years 7–10.<br> - Support the Principal with budget considerations for the high school section.<br> - Maintain accurate records relating to student behaviour, staff performance, and operational matters.</p>
