About the role

Catholic Regional College North Keilor is seeking an experienced and passionate English Domain Leader to join our dynamic teaching team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to lead and shape the delivery of English education for our secondary school students.

This position is a teaching role with an associated time and monetary allowance. The start date is negotiable, with a preference for commencement early in Term 2.

What you'll be doing

• Lead the English teaching team in the development and implementation of engaging, innovative, and evidence-based curriculum and assessment
• Provide instructional leadership and mentoring to English teachers, fostering their professional growth and supporting best practices in the classroom
• Analyse student data to identify areas for improvement and implement tailored strategies to enhance student outcomes
• Collaborate with the broader leadership team to align the English curriculum with the school's strategic priorities
• Serve as a subject matter expert, advising on English-related policies, procedures, and initiatives
• Foster a positive and collaborative departmental culture that promotes teamwork and continuous learning

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience teaching secondary English, with a proven track record of driving student achievement
• Demonstrated leadership experience, either as a domain or in a similar role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, students, and parents
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Passion for English education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students
• Relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the VIT
