The Anglican Schools Corporation (TASC) is seeking to appoint an appropriately experienced and qualified HR Partner to support the Corporation schools. • Support the Vision and Mission of TASC • Be a trusted advisor to the school on matters of HR, IR, safety and compliance • Manage the relationship between schools and Group Office services

The Anglican Schools Corporation comprises 20 schools within the Sydney diocese and in Western NSW. Each school values its independence while acting with interdependence within TASC. The Anglican Schools Corporation provides schooling for students across both low fee and higher fee schools. TASC has a commitment to high quality Christian education and continues to seek opportunities to grow schools. An exciting role has arisen for an experienced and committed Director of People, Culture and Communication who is suitably qualified, and shares a vision for Christian education to join the TASC executive team. The Director of People, Culture and Communication will work closely with the principals, business managers, executive teams and school councils of the Corporation schools, providing advice in the key areas of human resources, industrial relations and safety/compliance.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of People, Culture and Communication will be adept at discerning the individual context of each school in the Corporation, and support the key stakeholders in all aspects of Human Resource management. The Director of People, Culture and Communication needs to have the ability to actively communicate and work collaboratively with the wider teams in the Corporation to be able to balance the school’s needs within an understanding of the Corporation as a whole. This role requires the ability to easily establish trust, an inclusive manner of communication and positive approach to problem solving.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Liaise and collaborate with key stakeholders in order to optimise the Schools’ deliverables in the area of People and Culture.
  • Be the trusted advisor to the school on matters relating to the attraction, recruitment, selection and onboarding of School employees.
  • Support the Vision and Mission of TASC by supporting schools in developing and maintaining staff wellbeing programs, with a focus on employee engagement.
  • Provide advise, expertise and services to the school in relation to facilitation, mediation, and conflict or grievance resolution.
  • In conjunction with the Chief Risk Officer and Executive Manager of Governance and Legal, provide sound advice in relation to Industrial Relations matters.
  • Provide support and guidance in the area of Safety, Compliance and Reporting
  • Manage the relationship between schools and Group Office services.
  • Actively communicate and work collaboratively with Principals within TASC.
