St Brendan-Shaw College are looking for applications for a Casual Teacher Assistant Position to commence in 2025. Possible shifts are between 8:30am - 3:00pm Monday to Friday, Term Time Only with the potential of some semi-regular shifts available.

<p>St Brendan-Shaw College is a Catholic, co-educational school located in Devonport on the North West Coast of Tasmania catering for students from Years 7 to 12. The College is committed to creating a learning environment that fosters excellence, compassion and service in our students.</p><p>Teacher Assistants are accountable for providing effective, quality support to teachers in the delivery of defined educational programs and activities and interventions for students as required.</p><p>Teacher Assistants are required to demonstrate that they are:</p><ul><li>Able to relate to students with varying needs, exercising judgement and discretion in undertaking duties</li><li>Able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships</li><li>Able to apply literacy, numeracy and reasoning skills to effectively undertake the role</li><li>Able to use initiative to resolve problems and conflicts in a constructive manner</li><li>Flexible and dependable</li></ul><p>Under guidance of the Teacher, candidates will be required to assist with the supervision and instruction of students with additional and substantial level needs.</p><p>Salary will be in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.</p><p>Catholic Education Tasmania supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
