Following this review, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Gifted, Talented and Highly Able Learning Coordinator (POL2) to join Penola Catholic College from 2025 to 2027.</p><p>As the inaugural Gifted, Talented and Highly Able Learning Coordinator you will be responsible for the development and operation of the College’s Advanced Learning Program, develop the policies, processes and procedures for the Advanced Learning program, and lead teachers to implement pedagogical and curriculum approaches to engage and extend learners. </p><p>You will support students identified as gifted and/or talented including developing personalised learning plans, identifying suitable opportunities for enrichment and extension, and conducting PSGs where required.</p><p>Please note an ongoing teaching appointment is attached to the position.</p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>To be successful you will have experience or qualification in gifted and talented education. You will also have the ability to develop creative, engaging and challenging curriculum experiences for students from Year 3 to 10.</p><p>You will also be able to demonstrate and model contemporary teaching practice: understanding how students ‘learn best’. You will also have a demonstrated knowledge of the Australian curriculum frameworks and have a demonstrated capacity to provide leadership that is characterised by a desire for continuous improvement, lateral thinking and innovation, holding team members to account where necessary.
