The College is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic experienced Agriculture teacher in a full-time (1.0 FTE) ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2025.

<p>Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview is a Catholic boys’ school in the Jesuit tradition. Located on picturesque grounds in Lane Cove, this leading independent school delivers a holistic education for day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.</p><p>We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Agriculture teacher to join our team. The Agriculture Department at Saint Ignatius’ College is situated on the shores of the Lane Cove River with a small six-acre farm which runs cattle, sheep, poultry and vegetable enterprises. Agriculture classrooms are recently renovated offering teachers the opportunity to teach in a modern and innovative space. </p><p>Students study a broad range of Agricultural Technologies in years 8-12 in both Agriculture and VET Primary industries elective subjects. Agricultural students develop knowledge, understanding, and skills which enable them to contribute positively to their own lifestyle and to the social, economic and environmental future of Australia.</p><p>The College is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic experienced Agriculture teacher in a full-time (1.0 FTE) ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2025.</p><p><strong>SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p><p>The successful applicant needs to:</p><ul><li>be an innovative, engaging and collaborative teacher of Agriculture across Years 8-12.</li></ul><p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p><p>The successful applicants will:</p><ul><li>Hold the appropriate teaching qualifications</li><li>Be accredited with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to be eligible to teach in NSW</li><li>Experience in exhibition/showing of livestock and the willingness to become fully involved in the co cocurricular programs offered by the Agriculture department (show teams) (desirable)</li><li>Ability to teach Stage 6 VET Primary Industries (desirable)</li><li>Have the skills to deliver lessons that stimulate and engage students of all academic abilities</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents</li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional learning</li><li>Be willing to contribute to the Community Contribution Program at the College</li><li>Hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and well-being of children and young people</li></ul>
