The ideal candidate will have a love of teaching and a passion for science in the classroom.</p><p>This role is temporary part time 0.6 FTE (maternity leave) covering for Term 1 2025. </p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to teach Junior Science subjects.</li><li>Create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students through varied teaching strategies and pedagogical practices.</li><li>Develop and maintain collegial relationships within and beyond the faculty.</li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing of young women.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications, Skills and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>A qualified Science teacher with a strong understanding of the syllabus requirements and current NESA accreditation.</li><li>Be confident in differentiating the curriculum in the classroom and committed to improving educational outcomes.</li><li>Outstanding planning and organising skills, with strong attention to detail. </li><li>All staff members at Loreto Normanhurst must participate in the Loreto Normanhurst Student Growth Model, which may mean being part of an Integrated Learning Team.</li><li>Ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Work at Loreto Normanhurst</strong></p><ul><li>Fantastic opportunity to join a leading school in girls’ education.</li><li>Participate in our Teach-Meets Teaching Program</li><li>Access to Onsite Parking, Café and Staff Morning Tea every Wednesday </li></ul><p><i>Applicants must submit a cover letter addressed to Ms Ugonotti, the Principal, a CV and copies of relevant qualifications or certifications.
