<p>Kolbe Catholic College is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Learning Leader in Mathematics &amp; Numeracy. As a key leadership position, the Learning Leader will contribute to the development of experiences that empower students to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to the Catholic ethos, and a drive for transformative education.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the development, documentation, and implementation of the Mathematics curriculum for Years 7-12, ensuring compliance with VCAA requirements.</li><li>Foster continuous improvement in pedagogy, assessment practices, and differentiation within the Mathematics curriculum.</li><li>Support staff in developing strategies for teaching students of mixed abilities.</li><li>Oversee assessment processes for Mathematics, including Assessment Schedules, examinations, SACs, and reporting periods.</li><li>Lead collaborative Learning Area meetings to facilitate professional learning and teamwork.</li><li>Support the professional growth and capacity building of teachers within the Learning Area.</li><li>Provide constructive feedback to teachers and address performance concerns in collaboration with the Deputy Principal (Staff).</li><li>Review student performance data in Mathematics to identify areas for improvement and target professional learning accordingly.</li></ul><p>For a detailed list of responsibilities, please refer to the attached job description.</p><p><strong>Qualifications and Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Committed to the values and ethos of Catholic education.</li><li>Successful teaching experience with a demonstrated capacity to initiate improvements in teaching, learning, and classroom practice.</li><li>Postgraduate study in a relevant field or intentions for future study.</li><li>Ability to foster and develop appropriate relationships with staff, students, parents, and the wider community.</li><li>Strong collaborative and teamwork skills within a school environment.</li><li>Effective planning and resource management abilities to support the education programs of the school.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.</li><li>Organizational and administrative proficiency, with the capacity to handle changing priorities, deadlines, and pressure.</li><li>Dedication to ongoing professional learning and a spirit of generosity.</li><li>Valid VIT Registration.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Position Details:</strong></p><ul><li>Position: Learning Leader - POL 3</li><li>Remuneration: As per CEMEA2022</li><li>Time Allowance: 14 x 50-minute lessons per cycle</li><li>Tenure:&nbsp;This is a Maternity Leave Replacement for 2025, with the opportunity for an ongoing full-time teaching position</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>How to Apply:</strong><br>Interested candidates are requested to submit their applications, including a brief statement addressing their concept of leadership and goals for the position(s), along with a response to the provided selection criteria.
