Our teaching teams collaborate to highlight the school’s commitment to lifelong learning for both staff and students.</p><p>We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified educator for the following leadership position:</p><p><strong>Learning Area Leader - Vocational Major (VM)</strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee the development and implementation of the VCE Vocational Major (VM) curriculum, ensuring it reflects College goals, vision, and innovation.</li><li>Advise students and families on VCE VM program suitability, in consultation with other key staff (Head of Careers, Head of Senior Learning and Head of Senior Wellbeing).</li><li>Collaborate with external agencies to build partnerships that enhance student pathways, community connections, and learning outcomes.</li><li>Lead and participate in Information Evenings and external partnerships, including with the Peninsula VCE VM Association and PVET network.</li><li>Foster team collaboration, supporting professional growth and ongoing improvement in teaching and learning.</li><li>Ensure compliance with Victorian Curriculum and reporting procedures, embedding cross-curriculum priorities like Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures.</li><li>Analyse student performance data to support differentiated teaching and track progression of learning.</li><li>Contribute to the development and oversight of student learning programs and support staff in achieving the best possible outcomes for students.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>VIT Registration</li><li>Demonstrated experience in leading curriculum development and fostering innovation</li><li>Candidates with strong numeracy skills and relevant experience will be highly regarded</li><li>Proven ability in communication, collaboration, and leadership</li><li>Commitment to supporting the educational and personal development of staff and students.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join John Paul College:</strong></p><ul><li>Ongoing teaching contract and two-year leadership role.</li><li>Be part of a supportive and dynamic educational community.</li><li>Opportunities for professional development and leadership growth.</li><li>A collaborative work environment that values innovation, excellence, and holistic education.</li></ul><p><strong>Position Details:</strong></p><ul><li>Full-time position</li><li>Commencing in Term 1, 2025</li><li>Leadership role with a two-year tenure, with an ongoing teaching contract.</li></ul><p><strong>Application will close:</strong></p><p>Friday, 18 October 2024, at 5.00pm and shortlisted candidates may be contacted as applications are received.</p><p>If you are passionate about teaching and have the necessary qualifications, we invite you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
