<p><strong>Location:</strong> Hybrid - World Square, CBD and WFH<br><strong>Commencement Date:</strong> Immediate (or by negotiation)<br><strong>Closing Date:</strong> Wednesday, 9 October 2024<br><strong>Capacity:</strong> Full-time, 3-year contract<br><strong>No. of positions:</strong> 3 (Two with a Primary focus and one with a Secondary focus)<br><br><strong>About the Role</strong><br><br>The Manager: School Support reports to the Director: School Support. The role is responsible for managing, supervising and supporting Principals, Assistant Principals and school leadership teams to effectively lead their schools, and drive school and network performance. This role will develop meaningful and effective working relationships between schools, networks and central office directorates to ensure clear and efficient communication, decision-making and effective problem-solving in support of delivering excellent outcomes for students.<br><br>The Manager: School Support is required to perform tasks that include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>coaching, supervising and supporting school leaders across the range of leadership accountabilities, including operational and improvement strategies in the achievement of key performance metrics within assigned networks</li><li>supporting school leaders to leverage the expertise, resources and facilities of the network and system and ensuring that school and network successes are shared and scaled up across the system</li><li>supporting Principals cultivate the conditions for staff and students to thrive in dynamic school environments</li><li>enabling and facilitating system leadership development and programs</li><li>leading the Inquiry and Review process and overseeing its execution</li><li>monitoring and evaluating school performance data to inform systemic strategic improvement and localised improvement plans and practices</li><li>implementing a consistent model and approach of school support with peers and directorate colleagues and ensuring effective communication and coordination of support between schools and central office to assist with timely and effective decision-making and ensuring that the resources of the central office best support schools</li><li>leading and supporting the delivery of a cohesive educational and mission strategy</li><li>developing and maintaining a strong culture of academic excellence, ensuring the curriculum meets the needs of all students, and that they are prepared for post-school success</li><li>developing and implementing strategies to maintain and increase enrolments while ensuring that the admission process is equitable and transparent</li><li>tracking and analysing enrolment trends to elevate Catholic student numbers and inform future recruitment efforts</li><li>driving a responsive and faith centric approach to parent engagement through assessing parent satisfaction and identifying opportunities for improvement</li><li>regularly inform program, policy and process reviews where work intersects with schools to ensure content and requirements are relevant and appropriate</li><li>maintaining oversight of school's financial management and resource usage to ensure compliance with requirements and forecasts</li><li>building leadership capability at school and network level to enhance staff engagement in performance development, career planning and ongoing professional learning</li><li>empowering leaders to build capacity in their schools to engage with staff, students and parents effectively and appropriately</li><li>working with directorates to support principals in managing complex staff, student, and parent concerns and complaints</li><li>contributing to talent identification, recruitment, development and succession planning of school leaders, including feedback to applicants and announcing Principal and Assistant Principal appointments.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Work for Sydney Catholic Schools</strong><br><br>In joining Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS), you will be part of the largest Catholic education community in NSW, with a unified vision and shared resources, encompassing over 145 schools and over 74,000 students.
