Al Zahra College is seeking to employ a qualified full-time English teacher who is able to teach years 7-12. IB experience is recommended but not essential.
<p>Al Zahra College is seeking to employ an IB MYP/DP English teacher for years 7-12. IB experience is recommended but not required. This is a full-time position.</p><p> </p><p><strong>The successful applicant will need to meet the following criteria:</strong></p><ul><li>An experienced English Teacher (Years 7-12) to teach both the Middle Years Programme (MYP) Years 7-10 and Diploma Programme DP (Years 11-12)</li><li>Knowledge of Years 7-10 NESA Curriculum, MYP and DP Curriculum</li><li>Have a thorough understanding of program requirements and curriculum planning for students in years 7 to 12 (including those with learning enrichment needs)</li><li>Possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Demonstrate outstanding behavioural management strategies for students</li><li>Show a proven ability to effectively engage and motivate students</li><li>Have the ability to modify instructions to cater for the individual learning needs of students</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to effectively collaborate with other teachers, and work as part of a team</li><li>Possess a strong work ethic, striving for continuous improvement and the achievement of high standards</li><li>A teacher who can quickly form strong relationships with students and teachers within the Faculty, with a willingness to employ a range of teaching methodologies to engage students and enable positive student outcomes.</li><li>A teacher who purposefully and effectively embraces technology within the classroom.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential:</strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience working as an English Teacher</li><li>Relevant teaching qualification in the area of English</li><li>Hold current Working with Children Check</li><li>Have the right to work in Australia<br /> </li></ul><p><strong>How to Apply:</strong></p><p>Applications must include a cover letter, resume and three current referees and be directed to:</p><p><strong>Dr Wissam Mustapha, Headmaster</strong></p><p>Email: <a href="mailto:careers@azc.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">careers@azc.nsw.edu.au</a></p>

Al Zahra College is an IB World School (PYP, MYP, and DP) supporting students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The college was established in February 1998, in order to provide alternative educational options for the growing Muslim community in Australia.
