<p>St. Raphael's Catholic Primary School offers coherent, evidence-based learning approaches and a knowledge-rich curriculum to inspire learners.</p><p>This is an ongoing full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025. The role comprises a Classroom Teacher (0.6) and a POL Literacy Leader (0.4) position. </p><p>We seek enthusiastic, self-motivated, dedicated, and committed applicants who possess the skills and abilities to promote learning excellence for all, embrace a collaborative approach to learning and teaching, and demonstrate a commitment to the ongoing development of our learning community. Applicants must be prepared to support the school's Catholic ethos and values.</p><p>St Raphael's school community is committed to the safety, well-being and protection of all children in our care.</p><p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p><p>The successful applicant will:</p><ul><li>Demonstrate commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and well-being of children, in accordance with our Child Safe Policy and Child Safe Code of Conduct (which can be accessed via our school website).</li><li>Lead literacy professional learning in line with MACS Vision for Instruction.</li><li>Plan with teachers, empowering them to develop literacy instruction that aligns with the Science of Learning. </li><li>Familiarisation with ‘Little Learners Love Literacy’ explicit phonics approach, Literature Study Years 3-6, and OCHRE Education Resources</li><li>Build positive relationships and assist in creating learning environments where all are valued, engaged and challenged.</li><li>Demonstrate effective communication and organisational skills and the ability to plan collaboratively and be flexible, proactive, and resourceful.</li><li>Develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues.</li><li>Demonstrate active participation in activities that help progress our School Improvement Plan.</li><li>Other requirements are available in our Staff Handbook, which is provided at the beginning of each school year.</li><li>Applicants must have a recognised teaching qualification and additional qualifications in the Literacy field (or be currently completing qualifications).</li><li>Have or be working towards, accreditation to teach in a Catholic school.</li><li><p>Hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.</p><p><strong>Application Procedures</strong></p></li><li>Submit a Covering Letter and your Curriculum Vitae, including contact details for three current referees, to the Principal via email.</li></ul>
