Director of Wellbeing - Junior School

The position of Director of Wellbeing Years K to 6 is a key leadership role in the Junior School and will work closely with the Director of Wellbeing Years 7 to 12 to develop a cohesive Wellbeing Journey for K-12 students.
<p><strong>Full-time / Permanent Position, to commence in January 2025</strong></p><p><i>“Central Coast Grammar School (CCGS) is committed to the safety, protection, and wellbeing of all our students and children involved in activities at CCGS. The School requires all prospective school staff to contribute to creating a culture of child safety and wellbeing and be committed to protecting students from abuse or harm in the school environment”. All CCGS staff participate in annual training in child protection. All statutory checks and references are required prior to confirmation of employment. </i></p><p>The position of Director of Wellbeing Years K to 6 is a key leadership role in the Junior School and will work closely with the Director of Wellbeing Years 7 to 12 to develop a cohesive Wellbeing Journey for K-12 students. Responsibilities include the overall development of school policies and practices relating to Student Wellbeing in alignment with the School’s Strategic Plan. The Director of Wellbeing Years K to 6 will, through management, care and leadership of the pastoral team, implement wellbeing programs, student management systems and provide pastoral services to students, parents and staff. A requirement of this role is to maintain a teaching load, as directed by the Headmaster.</p><p>To be successful you will need to possess and demonstrate:</p><ul><li>Tertiary teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation </li><li>Thorough knowledge of the NSW Curriculum and its recent developments</li><li>A high standard of competency, proficiency and innovative as a classroom teacher</li><li>Commitment and skills in digital literacy</li><li>Capacity to cater for different learning needs</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to be calm under pressure</li><li>Good administrative skills, with a sound level of flexibility and adaptability</li><li>Demonstrate a high degree of discretion, initiative and personal organisation </li><li>Demonstrated success in leadership – particularly pertaining to wellbeing of students</li><li><p>Commitment to the strategic direction and ethos of the School </p><p>Interested applicants should familiarise themselves with the School’s Strategic Plan ‘<i>Striving for Excellence</i>’, available on our website at <a href="http://www.ccgs.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">www.ccgs.nsw.edu.au</a>.
