Full time Head of Science role commencing at the beginning of 2025.

<p>Applications are invited from qualified Year 7 – 12 Science Teachers who are keen to work in a Christian school committed to explicit instruction and high expectations of student effort and behaviour. Located in the Hills District in Sydney’s northwest, the College has modern facilities, is very well resourced and can be easily accessed by car or the Metro Northwest rail.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Leadership</strong></p><p>The Head of Science will lead a committed team of teachers which involves:</p><ul><li>Implementing Science teaching and learning programs that are consistent with NESA syllabi and written to maximise student learning, engagement and achievement.</li><li>Ensuring that the faculty is well resourced and that the Science academic assessment program is of a high standard and effectively implemented.</li><li>Supporting Science teachers in their work and providing them with practical advice to refine their teaching practice.</li><li>Being an active part of head of faculty team meetings.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Teaching &amp; Learning</strong></p><p>Construction of teaching programs based on applicable NESA syllabi that will enable you to:</p><ul><li>Orchestrate a lesson that maximises learning for all students in the class.</li><li>Effectively teach students with identified needs.</li><li>Provide meaningful feedback on the academic work students produce in a way that will help them to improve.</li><li>Achieve strong academic results.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Other Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Involvement in College activities and events including:</p><ul><li>Contributing to the student wellbeing program, extra-curricular activities and camps.</li><li>Attending chapel, assemblies and other College activities.</li><li>Undertaking rostered playground or supervision duties.</li><li>Attending College events, including parent teacher meetings.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>The Contract</strong></p><p>All teachers at RHAC are employed under the Independent Schools Standards Model Multi Enterprise Agreement (MEA).
