The College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called <i>Good Samaritan Education</i> (<i>GSE</i>).&nbsp; Established in 2011 by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, the mission of <i>Good Samaritan Education</i> is to sustain and nurture our Catholic schools as Good Samaritan Benedictine communities of learning.</p><p>Catholic education in the Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition is committed to developing students who will engage with today’s world as grounded, hope-filled young people who are equipped to lead wisely, to listen deeply and to treat their neighbour and their environment with justice, love and the compassion of Christ.</p><p>Rosebank College promotes an inclusive, welcoming environment for children and provides transparent, accountable, risk-managed approaches to ensure child safeguarding.</p><p>As a school of Good Samaritan Education, Rosebank College is incorporated and governed by a Board of Directors which is accountable through the Company Members to Good Samaritan Education.</p><p>For further information about Rosebank College, please visit our website: www.rosebank.nsw.edu.au.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>About the Role&nbsp;</strong></p><p>A school of Good Samaritan Education, Rosebank College seeks expressions of interest for the position of Dean of Ministry to join the College Leadership Team in a Permanent full-time (1.0FTE) position.</p><p>Commencing 22 January 2025 and reporting to the Principal, the Dean of Ministry leads the College's Mission within the Catholic Church and context, ensuring that the Benedictine charism and the Good Samaritan philosophy are evident in the formal and informal aspects of the College-wide community. This role provides strategic and organisational leadership to promote the College as a dynamic, faith-filled, inclusive community for all.</p><p>The Dean of Ministry actively promotes the College's Catholic identity and spiritual life, ensuring that all policies, procedures, and programs are consistent with the College’s Mission Framework and overall Strategic Plan. The Dean of Ministry ensures that staff and students' actions align with the College’s vision, mission, and policies while promoting the College values and Good Samaritan Philosophy of stewardship, mutuality, prayer, hospitality, humility, discernment, justice, and peace.</p><p>This position is responsible for leading College-wide faith formation programs (for staff and students), social justice initiatives, and partnerships with Good Samaritan Education, local parishes, and the broader community. It plays a critical role by supporting the formation of students to engage with today’s world as grounded, hope-filled young people, equipping them to lead wisely, listen deeply, and treat their neighbour and their environment with justice, love, and the compassion of Christ.</p><p>Two Assistant Deans of Ministry support the Dean of Ministry. The Deanery collaborates with all Deaneries and Teams. Additionally, this role works closely with the College Religious Education Coordinator, who oversees the Religious Education Curriculum, and with the Pastoral Coordinators and other members of the College’s pastoral team to coordinate the education in the faith of the College community.</p><p>The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, passionate, faith-filled, and committed to our College Leadership Team. The ideal candidate can demonstrate proven success in the leadership and faith, formation, and evangelisation agenda (school-wide); work collaboratively with a diverse range of leaders, staff, and students; be an effective communicator; can manage competing priorities; can exercise initiative which demonstrates successful student outcomes; and; can represent the Principal and the College to internal and external stakeholders with a spirit of excellence representing the Good Samaritan and Benedictine values at all times.</p><p>This position is an executive role (4 points), and the successful candidate is expected to be assigned a teaching load commensurate with expertise and experience. All staff are expected to support the college's vision and goals as a learning community and contribute to all aspects of College life.</p><p>To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:</p><ul><li>Master’s in theology or a related discipline (completed or ongoing).</li><li>Proven experience as a middle leader with a minimum of 5 years.</li><li>Demonstrated experience working in a senior role in Catholic faith formation and/or mission and/or evangelisation.</li><li>Proven experience as an executive leader (highly desirable).</li><li>Experience communicating faith and leading staff and student faith formation within a contemporary context.</li><li>High level of communication and interpersonal skills and a strong ability to build relationships with various stakeholders.</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to the transformative nature of Catholic Education and a clear vision for faith identity within our contemporary society.</li><li>High-level capacity to translate a broad and contemporary knowledge of Religious Education and Faith Development into effective programs.</li><li>Demonstrating a depth of personal Catholic faith by actively participating in a Catholic parish community and modelling the teachings and values of the Catholic Church.</li><li>A passionate and enthused ability to promote mission and evangelisation.</li><li>Demonstrated familiarity with the Professional Standards of the Catholic Church, including Integrity in the Service of the Church.</li><li>A thorough understanding of the College's role, ministry, and responsibility in the life of the Catholic Church.</li><li>Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changed timelines, deadlines, and significant events.</li><li>Possess a valid Working with Children Check.</li><li>A commitment to the child safeguarding principles.</li><li>Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College.</li><li>Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>The Process</strong></p><p>If you meet the requirements for this position, then please <strong>click the Apply button </strong>to submit your online application, to the Principal of Rosebank College.</p><p>When you complete the <strong>online application</strong>, you will need to provide:</p><ul><li>A copy of your CV;</li><li>A cover letter;</li><li>Upload copies of formal teaching qualifications including copies of transcripts;</li><li>Provide details of your Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.</li></ul><p>Candidates that progress through our recruitment process, will be required to provide at least two (2) referees including the current employer.</p><p>Early applications are encouraged to assist the interview process.
