<p><i>“Central Coast Grammar School (CCGS) is committed to the safety, protection, and wellbeing of all our students and children involved in activities at CCGS. All CCGS staff participate in annual training in child protection. All statutory checks and references are required prior to confirmation of employment. </i></p><p>This is a new School Executive role that will commence in January 2025.</p><p>The Head of Academics & Staffing leads and fosters collaboration and integration across the teaching and learning team and collaborates with other key staff engaged in the development, design and delivery of a high-caliber curriculum which meets the interests, needs and abilities of students. The Head of Academics & Staffing will work closely with the Headmaster to create a culture of excellence and innovation in learning across all curriculum activities. </p><p>The Head of Academics & Staffing will build deep relationships of trust and inspire confidence. At CCGS we have an expert, experienced and dedicated teaching team. Working closely with the Heads of School, the Head of Academics & Staffing will provide advice and recommendations on the learning needs of students across the senior school. The Head of Academics & Staffing will harness their capabilities and support them, ensuring that CCGS has a rigorous research-informed Academic program. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about learning, has deep curriculum expertise, and experience in successfully embedding learning frameworks in high performing environments.</p><p><strong>The Role </strong></p><p>CCGS offers its students a well-rounded education. We seek to ensure each student can achieve her or his potential as a curious, imaginative, and critical lifelong learner, with the resiliency, determination and confidence to positively shape their life and the lives of others. </p><p>Reporting to the Headmaster, the Head of Academics & Staffing is responsible for all aspects of academic curriculum design, research, measurement, assessment, reporting and compliance for the Secondary School, to ensure that CCGS maintains its reputation for providing excellence and innovation in education. </p><p>The Head of Academics & Staffing will ensure our students continue to perform well academically. Achieving a balance across the educational offering of the school and an age-appropriate continuum for our students will require working closely and collaboratively with other members of the Senior Executive Team. The Head of Academics & Staffing will build an excellent understanding of the broader life of the School, ensuring that they have an appreciation of the needs of all stakeholders and of the interconnections between portfolios.</p><p>Resource forecasting, project management, communication and financial management are essential to the optimal running of the School, and will be critical aspects of the role. The role will serve as a key leader and coach to our academic leaders, supporting their work as leaders of learning, people and curriculum development. </p><p>CCGS has highly skilled and experienced teaching staff and educational leaders. The team reporting into the Head of Academics & Staffing include the Heads of Department, and the Literacy and Numeracy Coordinators. The Head of Academics & Staffing will support and empower their team, actively encouraging their professional development and grow their capacity as educators and leaders.</p><p>As a key member of the School Executive team, the Head of Academics & Staffing will undertake special projects in collaboration with the Headmaster.
