We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Head of Commercial Studies, to lead our Commercial Studies faculty.
<p>Wenona is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Head of Commercial Studies, to lead our Commercial Studies faculty. This is a newly created faculty that encompasses Commerce (Stage 5), Business Studies, Legal Studies, and Economics. You will inspire our young women through dynamic classroom practice, refined professional knowledge and a commitment to high performance.</p><p>At Wenona, we have an obligation to our profession to ensure the highest quality educational outcomes for our students. We expect our teachers to be committed to their own professional development and to want to contribute to the broader educational community.</p><p><strong>The Position</strong></p><ul><li>Leading a team of high performing Commercial Studies teachers with full oversight of all teaching and learning aspects for students.</li><li>Understanding of contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies, particularly as they apply to the subjects in the Commercial Studies faculty.</li><li>Working with a broad range of stakeholders, including students, teachers and parents to meet individual student learning needs.</li><li>Committing to wellbeing and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students.</li><li>Engaging in professional learning, including contributing to the broader education community.</li><li>Collaborating and contributing to a team and faculty of professional educators.</li><li>Utilising ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement beyond the classroom.</li></ul><p>In additional to being a Head of Commercial Studies, you will also be a Connect Teacher, which will require you to engage with a Connect group on a daily basis.</p><p>This is a permanent full-time position, starting in Term 4, 2024, or later by negotiation.</p><p><a href="https://www.wenona.nsw.edu.au/ArticleDocuments/221/Role%20Description%20-%20Head%20of%20Commercial%20Studies.pdf.aspx?OverrideExpiry=Y" rel="nofollow">For more details about the role and requirements, please refer to the attached role description.</a></p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>To be successful in this role, you will have relevant qualifications and experience teaching Commercial Studies. You will display leadership qualities by guiding the team and students throughout our academic program, whilst embedding our school’s values of courage, strength, grace, wisdom, and kindness. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, building rapport with various staff members and students.
