<p>St Martins Lutheran College is a close-knit co-educational school community of 785 students from Reception to Year 12. Ideally situated in the beautiful agricultural region of Mount Gambier, South Australia, the College has served the community for over 40 years. The St Martins community is founded on positive relationships based on care and compassion for self and others. Students are encouraged to nurture their strengths and explore ideas using creative and critical thinking to help them develop lifelong learning skills.</p><p>Reporting to the Deputy Principal (R –12), the Head of Wellbeing leads the development and articulation of a wellbeing scope and sequence throughout the entire school community. A pivotal member of the College&#39;s Executive team, the Head of Wellbeing drives the implementation of key components of the College’s Strategic Plan.</p><p>The Head of Wellbeing is a new position to emphasise the foundational importance of wellbeing in a flourishing school community. With a comprehensive knowledge of current educational wellbeing practices and in collaboration with the College’s Senior and Middle Leadership Teams, the Head of Wellbeing will review current wellbeing programs and initiatives, engage the entire school community in elevating wellbeing practice, emphasize positive relationships, strengthen partnerships, and lead innovation in this space. </p><p>The successful candidate:</p><ul><li>Celebrates and embeds a culture of wellbeing throughout the school community</li><li>Leads the design, implementation and review of wellbeing initiatives, programs, frameworks and strategies</li><li>Effectively role models, facilitates and promotes pedagogical best practice in wellbeing </li><li>Inclusively and proactively mentors and supports others to achieve excellence in the delivery of wellbeing </li><li>Is supportive of the values lived out in a Christian community.</li></ul><p>Commencing in January 2025, this role is offered as a five-year contract with a 0.2FTE teaching load. Applicants must be qualified teachers eligible to teach in South Australia and preferably have executive-level experience. </p><p>All staff at St Martins Lutheran College actively uphold and promote the Christian ethos and values that form the foundation of the College’s purpose.
