Heritage buildings and landscaped grounds provide an attractive educational environment.</i></p><p><strong>HEAD OF DIVERSE LEARNING - LEARNING SUPPORT</strong></p><ul><li>Full time, permanent</li><li>Commencing Term 3 or 4, 2024 (further discussion will take place throughout the recruitment process about commencement date and flexibility is offered)</li><li>Lead, develop and implement policies, procedures and interventions supporting teaching and learning of students with diverse needs</li></ul><p>Seeking to employ an innovative <strong>Head of Diverse Learning - Learning Support</strong> to join our collaborative, friendly and supportive Learning Support team. The Head of Diverse Learning - Learning Support is an advocate for best practice for students with identified disabilities and/or additional needs in an inclusive environment.</p><p>This position will lead, develop and implement policies, procedures and interventions supporting the teaching and learning of students with diverse needs. This position will also have the responsibility to identify and monitor the progress of students with diverse needs and ensure the development of appropriate, clear and well communicated interventions, programs and Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs).</p><p>The Head of Diverse Learning - Learning Support will coordinate and lead staff in the Learning Support department and collaboratively plan and support the professional development of teachers in providing a differentiated curriculum.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have appropriate qualification/s in the field of Learning Support or Inclusive Education. This candidate will also have proven experience or demonstrated capacity in providing dynamic, effective, innovative leadership and management of Learning Support staff. </p><p>As a school community, Monte places a strong emphasis on collegiality and professional development.
