Your role will include but not limited to:</p><ul><li>Modelling Catholic values where the dignity and respect for our people, their rights and safety, the value they provide to our community, and their capacity in the work they undertake, remain at the forefront of the services provided.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Providing a high level of expert support and advice in the area of Work Health and Safety to schools and office sites within CEDoW.</li><li>Developing tools and resources to support Principals and CEO Leaders with their due diligence under the Work Health and Safety legislation</li><li>Keeping up to date with current and emerging WHS matters that impact the education sector</li><li>Analysing WHS data with a focus on providing regular reports for School and Office Leadership</li><li>Undertaking site audits across CEDoW to verify compliance with Work Health and Safety policies and processes and provide feedback to School and Office Leaders</li><li>Completing internal investigations where a serious/significant work health and safety incident has occurred and work with School Leadership to identify gaps and areas for improvement</li><li>Assisting in formulating and implementing proactive and preventative resources, particularly within the area of psychological hazards impacting staff across the education sector.</li><li>Reviewing all staff and student injury/illness notifications using risk management strategies and support School Leadership to implement appropriate controls as appropriate&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will be someone who has:</p><ul><li>Demonstrated experience in undertaking health and safety audits across multiple sites to verify compliance with organisation expectations and legislative requirements</li><li>Positive interpersonal skills, including high emotional intelligence</li><li>Excellent discretion and judgement as information handled may contain sensitive or confidential information</li><li>An individual drive and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated ability to develop WHS policies, procedures, and other support resources and materials</li><li>High level of accuracy, and attention to detail</li><li>Strategically respond to unfamiliar and new situations and tasks</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Tertiary qualifications - degree qualified preferred - work health and safety, human resources, or other related disciplines</li><li>At least 3-5 years of experience working in the field of health and safety, allied health discipline or human resources</li><li>WHS auditing qualifications an advantage<br><br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</strong></p><p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.</p><p><strong>POSITION APPLICATION</strong></p><p>Applicants are to complete an online application which asks you to provide a copy of your CV and to address the ‘Selection Criteria’ and ‘Qualifications and Experience’.
