The Head of Culture and Identity leads Iona’s faith life and mission within a contemporary Catholic education context. This pivotal role involves fostering spirituality, promoting social justice, and championing sustainability initiatives, with a strong focus on leading Iona’s First Nations initiatives.

<p>The Head of Culture and Identity will network with Catholic leaders, coordinate Religious Education curriculum, support First Nations students and organise immersive student experiences. The perfect candidate will be passionate about Catholic education, fostering faith, promoting cultural inclusion and shaping a diverse and inclusive school culture.  </p><p>The position of Head of Culture and Identity at Iona College Geelong is required to work with the Foundation Principal, the Deputy Principal Wellbeing and the Deputy Principal Learning, along with the College Leadership Team, to provide exemplary leadership within the Culture and Identity space of the College Community.   </p><p>Given the unique nature of Iona College Geelong, the Head of Culture and Identity plays a crucial role in fostering positive relationships with all students, particularly our First Nations students. This entails enriching educational opportunities and empowering our staff through effective leadership. This role is pivotal in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially and spiritually.  </p><p>The Head of Culture and Identity will have a major educational role as an effective instructional leader in the development of the Vision and Mission of Iona College Geelong as well as in achieving the stated aims of the School Improvement Plan and the Annual Action Plan developed by the College.   </p><p>The Head of Culture and Identity will be required to undertake any duties not specified in this role description, at the request of the Foundation Principal.
