<p><strong>Location:</strong> Manuka, Canberra ACT <br><strong>Employment Type: </strong>Full-Time, Ongoing<br><strong>Salary Range: </strong>$126,414 to $139,051 plus superannuation (based on skills and experience)<br><strong>Start Date:</strong> September 2024<br><strong>Closing Date:</strong> 11.55 pm, Monday 29 July 2024 <br> <br><strong>About Us </strong></p><p>Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) plays an integral role in education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs). </p><p>The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services to the CECG system of Schools and ELCs. These Service Areas include; Education and Performance Improvement, Catholic Identity, School and Family Services, Strategy and Special Projects, Finance and Infrastructure, Information and Communication Technology and People and Culture. </p><p>CEO is committed to workforce diversity and creating inclusive workplaces. We welcome applications from suitable candidates from all diversity groups to support our system of Schools and ELCs in delivering quality education outcomes for the students in our care. <br> <br><strong>About the Role </strong></p><p>This Business Partner (BP) role is a generalist position responsible for partnering with a portfolio to implement and/or deploy HR strategies to meet business objectives through improved leader and employee performance, engagement, and productivity.</p><p>The position supports the Senior Officer, People & Culture in the development and delivery of highly engaged workforce and the implementation of specific local people initiatives. The role includes providing strategic advice and assistance to senior management with a strong focus on the critical areas of workforce planning, leadership development, talent management, change management and business improvement. It assists with the integration of business planning and strategy with cost effective HR planning and regular performance development and review.<br><br><strong>Benefits and Opportunities</strong></p><ul><li>Positive and collaborative workplace culture </li><li>Permanent contract </li><li>Attractive remuneration package </li><li>Access to salary packaging, including novated leasing </li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption) </li><li>Up to 14 weeks paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave) </li><li>Support for professional development and study opportunities </li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Actively contribute to the People and Culture Business Partner team in accordance with the Strategic Plan and the People Strategy, support the development of a strategic people resource plan detailing objectives and the initiatives required to achieve these.</li><li>Contribute to the accomplishment of the People & Culture annual operating plan.</li><li>Support the implementation of the approved operating plan, reporting monthly on achievement of goals and KPI’s to the Senior Officer.</li><li>Support, coach and mentor school leadership teams in the effective implementation and utilisation of performance and development processes and frameworks to continuously improve quality teaching and to build leadership capability.</li><li>Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive toolkit of processes, systems and policies around people and performance, ensuring they are regularly reviewed for simplicity and effectiveness.</li><li>Provide coaching on all the processes, systems, and policies to school executive teams, ensuring consistent, high-quality application.</li><li>Proactively manage and lead initiatives to support the culture and a high level of engagement throughout the System by all employees.</li><li>Support the People & Culture Senior Officer to ensure that the System maintains a consistent and compliant approach to Health & Safety and that the System’s culture supports this.</li><li>Case management of complex issues involving staff, leading investigations, staff grievances & complaints and effective performance management.</li><li>Ensure the Senior Officer People & Culture is immediately made aware of any issues regarding employees that could potentially lead to liability for the System, including potential or actual personal grievances, disciplinary action for alleged serious misconduct and serious health and safety incidents.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Postgraduate qualifications from an accredited institution in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with relevant working experience.</li><li>Current working with Children’s registrations in NSW and ACT (WWCC and WWVP).</li><li>Current Driver's License.</li></ul><p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p><ol><li>Diverse HR generalist experience.</li><li>Highly developed communication skills including managing conflict and negotiating to achieve outcomes.</li><li>Highly experienced in providing advice and assisting in matters relating to multiple enterprise agreements and/or industrial instruments.</li><li>Professional knowledge of performance management processes.</li><li>Strong workplace investigation and resolution skills.</li></ol><p><i>Please refer to the position description for in-depth details regarding the criteria and skill set required.</i> <br> <br><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria </strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position. </li><li>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy. </li></ul><p><strong>Application Process </strong></p><p>Applicants must submit a cover letter addressing the Skills, Attributes and Experience section in the position description and a current resume. </p><p>For further information about the role and Catholic Education Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn, please visit the <a href="https://cg.catholic.edu.au/">website</a> and position description. </p><p>If you have any questions about the recruitment process, contact Rebecca Radanovich, People & Culture Officer, on 0475136048 or via email at <a href="mailto:rebecca.radanovich@cg.catholic.edu.au">rebecca.radanovich@cg.catholic.edu.au</a>. </p><p>#S-DN </p><p><br><br> </p><p> <a href="https://careers.cg.catholic.edu.au/cw/en/PositionDescriptionDocument/503402/hr-business-partner">Applicant Information Pack</a></p>
