We are currently seeking a full time Human resources Manager, commencing Term 4, 2024.

<p>We are currently seeking a full time Human resources Manager, commencing Term 4, 2024.<br> This is a 12-month leave replacement role.&nbsp;</p> <p>This role supports the Executive Deputy Principal – Staff and Operations and the Business Manager and works collaboratively with the College Executive and key staff to ensure that the College’s human resource requirements are met in the areas of staff recruitment, staff induction, staff appraisal, staff tenure and general management of staff records.</p> <p>De La Salle College is an integral part of the faith community of Malvern and Malvern East. &nbsp;De La Salle College&nbsp;is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS). MACS is the employer of employees at De La Salle College.</p> <p>&nbsp;Remuneration is based on experience in accordance with the Education Support Officer – Category C scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (<i>CEMEA</i>)</p> <p><strong>Job description:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage the process of recruitment and selection of staff, including advise on position description reviews, role grading and classification.&nbsp;</li> <li>Organise and facilitate new staff induction&nbsp;</li> <li>Working with Executive Deputy Principal, prepare and facilitate Position of Leadership recruitment&nbsp;</li> <li>Assist the College Executive with Managing Employment Concerns, including preparing cases, scheduling of and minute taking at meetings and developing Employee Improvement Plans;</li> <li>Managing annual staff appraisal process&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge and understanding of relevant Enterprise Agreement</li> <li>Laise with Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools (MACS) around industrial matters&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensure annual staff compliance; staff Mandatory Reporting compliance, Code of Conduct sign off</li> <li>Ensure compliance documentation for all staff is current in line with Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT), Working with Children Checks (WWCC) and National Police Check;</li> <li>Manage Workcover claims, including reporting to WorkSafe for staff and students</li> <li>Organise end of year staff farewells and service awards&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead, support and manage the Administration Team at all three campuses, allocating and monitoring tasks, workload and performance;</li> <li>Oversee payroll sign off each fortnight&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills/Experience required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or similar;</li> <li>A broad HR generalist background and of exceptional calibre with integrity;</li> <li>Excellent working knowledge of current employment legislation;</li> <li>Excellent employee coaching skill;</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.</li> <li>An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students and colleagues.</li> <li>An eagerness to learn</li> <li>Experience in a similar role&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in Education industry is advantageous&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Special Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>De La Salle College promotes the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.</li> <li>The successful applicant will hold a Working with Children Check and Police Check.</li> <li>Contact details of two referees.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Join our passionate team at De La Salle College and contribute to nurturing young minds in a supportive and thriving educational community.&nbsp;<br> Applications close 4:00pm Monday 29 July 2024.&nbsp;Please submit your resume and cover letter via <a href="https://www.seek.com.au/job/77114995" rel="nofollow">Seek</a>.</p> <p>Note: MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children in our care.
