Temporary Newman Gifted and Talented Teacher /Coordinator 2 position for Term 3 and 4 2024, commencing 22nd July 2024.

<p><strong>ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Commitment to the ethos of the Catholic School and to excellence in teaching and learning</li><li>Excellence in teaching - in particular, teaching students who are Gifted and Talented</li><li>Excellent communication and organisational skills</li><li>A commitment and a personal responsibility to ongoing professional learning as required by the NESA teaching standards</li><li>Having a demonstrated capacity to utilise ICT for record keeping and to meet legislative requirements</li><li>Being registered to teach with the <i>Sydney Catholic Schools</i> organisation</li><li>Experience in developing and implementing programs to cater for the Gifted and Talented Learner</li><li>Working alongside teachers to develop and differentiate programs that will support the learner who is Gifted and Talented.</li><li>The ability to work collaboratively within a team and lead the Newman team to build capacity and support students who are Gifted and Talented</li><li>Mentor staff and complete administrative duties as a Coordinator 2 </li><li>Having the ability to work collaboratively as a member of the Leadership Team, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality </li><li> The desire to build and maintain effective professional relationships with staff, students and parents</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The successful applicant will demonstrate:</p><p>A firm knowledge and commitment to the Church’s mission in Catholic Education and personal faith practice</p><p>An ability to design and implement rigorous and engaging learning to meet the diverse needs of students who are Gifted and talented </p><p>Knowledge and understanding of K - 6 Curriculum and quality authentic learning pedagogy</p><p>An ability to effectively use formative and summative assessment techniques</p><p>Understanding of the use of data to establish challenging learning goals and provide effective feedback to students</p><p>Excellent interpersonal skills who is proactive in supporting the wellbeing of students</p><p>An ability to integrate ICT effectively and creatively to provide authentic learning opportunities within a contemporary environment.</p><p><strong><u>You will have attained:</u></strong></p><p>A Tertiary qualification in Education</p><p>Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</p><p>Religious Education qualifications</p><p>Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS.</p><p><strong>Statement of Commitment to Child Safety</strong><br /><a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1moHWv3A7WHapPQqPo5_J5QWsAk0pAJzi/view" rel="nofollow"><i>Click here</i></a><i> to access SCS&#39; Statement of Commitment to Child Safety and join us in creating a culture of child safety and wellbeing.</i></p><p><strong>Working With Children Check (WWCC)</strong><br /><i>This role is classified as child-related work and therefore requires a WWCC clearance prior to commencement of employment.</i></p><p><strong><u>Application Process</u></strong>: Applications emailed with curriculum vitae to be directed to:</p><p>Mrs Elizabeth Laria</p><p>Acting Principal</p><p>St Catherine of Siena, Prestons</p><p>58 Dalmeny Drive, Prestons</p><p>elizabeth.laria&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au </p><p>Applications close Monday 1st July 2024</p>
