<ul><li>Full Time, Continuing role</li><li>Middle Years Teacher specialising in literacy and numeracy</li><li>Primary School Teachers encouraged to apply</li><li>Remuneration is based on Statement of Service, $84,077 - $121,092 &#43; Superannuation</li></ul><p><strong>About the role:</strong></p><p>Focussing on literacy and numeracy, this role is key to creating a professional classroom environment in which students are safe to explore new ideas, learn and grow.  As a culturally diverse community, Ignatius Park College strives to be a place of tolerance and understanding, promoting both Catholic and civic ideals.  The successful applicant must be willing to work in a co-teaching environment.</p><p><strong>About the contract:</strong> </p><p>The position is<strong> continuing - full time. </strong></p><p><strong>About you:</strong></p><p>To be considered for this role you will need:</p><ul><li>Be committed to the goals, ethos and mission of the College as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition.</li><li>Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.</li><li>Relevant qualifications in Education.</li><li>Accreditation to Teach Religion in a Catholic School (Teachers of Religious Education) or willingness to achieve.</li><li>Proven experience working in an educational setting with an understanding of the ethos of Catholic Education.</li><li>Sound knowledge of school operations and relevant policies and procedures.</li><li>Proven experience implementing learning that meets Australian National Curriculum and Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority requirements.</li><li>Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and conflict resolution skills when dealing with multiple stakeholders, including students, staff, parents and the wider college community.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and use initiative and self direction where required.</li><li>Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills.</li><li>Intermediate computer skills and the ability to use Microsoft office products as well as school database management systems.</li></ul><p><strong>About our Organisation:</strong></p><p>Ignatius Park College is a boys’-only Catholic secondary school located in Townsville, North Queensland.  The College is a member of the Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) network of 55 schools across Australia.
