For the commencement in term 2, we are looking for a VCE Applied Learning Leader (VM VPC) - for our Beaconsfield campus. This position is until the end of the 2026 school year and holds a POL 3 allowance.

This position is until the end of the 2026 school year and holds a POL 3 allowance and 1000 minutes of release time per cycle. </p><p>The successful applicant will also receive ongoing employment as a Classroom Teacher.<br /></p><p>The VCE Applied Learning Leader (VM/VPC) is the program leader for the College’s VCE Applied Learning Program. The VCE Applied Learning Leader ensures that the College implements an engaging, purposeful, and compliant Vocational Major/Victorian Pathways Certificate program. The VCE Applied Learning Leader is responsible for the overall program design and supports the VCE Applied Learning Curriculum Leaders with curriculum development and implementation.</p><p><b>Skills and Experience</b><br /></p><p>The successful candidate will possess the following:</p><ul><li>Ability to promote and uphold the Catholic Identity of the College</li><li>Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school, or a willingness to undertake accreditation to teach in a Catholic school.</li><li>Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) full registration</li><li>Demonstrated understanding and experience of the learning and teaching pedagogy associated with the Victorian Curriculum</li><li>Ability to deepen the work they lead and connect it to the College Game Plan and Playbook</li><li>Ability to embrace and demonstrate our values of respect, curiosity, gratitude and hope through word and action</li><li>Displays a professional mindset and character to effectively lead staff to cater for the diverse needs of learners</li><li>Ability to lead collegial teams underpinned by a team-based culture</li><li>Inspiring and motivating team members towards achieving shared goals and objectives</li><li>Building staff capacity through coaching and mentoring, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication abilities, encompassing the capacity to engage with students, parents, and the broader school community</li><li>Ability to follow Child Safety requirements, including: creating a child safe culture, and identifying and responding to abuse using the PROTECT framework</li></ul><p><b>Applications Close 11 March at 5:00pm</b><br /></p><p>Successful applicants will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and the safety and wellbeing of children.<br /></p><p>The St Francis Xavier College community is committed to the safety, wellbeing, protection, and inclusion of all children in our care.<br /></p><p><br /></p>
