<p>An exciting opportunity exists to join our vibrant learning community here at St. Dominic’s School Broadmeadows. We are seeking to employ a Mathematics Leader/Mathematics Intervention Teacher to join our dynamic and dedicated team to support the learning needs of all students in our richly diverse and compassionate Catholic community.</p> <p>This position is full-time, with the successful applicant being part of the School Leadership Team. This position is advertised as a three-year appointment whereby the position will be re-advertised, with the applicant being able to reapply if needed.</p> <p><b>Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following selection criteria:</b></p> <p>- Support of the Catholic faith and the Catholic Identity of the school.</p> <p>- Authentic leadership skills and an enthusiasm and willingness to work collaboratively in a team based environment to engage all staff and students in learning.</p> <p></p> <p>- A strong understanding of the Mathematics Curriculum and how it is used to inform the planning of rich and relevant units of work.</p> <p>- A strong understanding of the instructional teaching skills and pedagogy required to support teachers in improving student outcomes in mathematics, including facilitating planning and analysing data.</p> <p>- An understanding of contemporary practices in the teaching and learning of mathematics intervention and extension.</p> <p>- Knowledge, confidence and understanding of how data is used to guide teaching and learning practices.</p> <p>- A passion for working with students from Culturally and Liguistically (CALD) backgrounds and English as an Additional Language (EAL) communities.</p> <p>St. Dominic’s is a Child Safe School and is committed to the ongoing safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.<br></p> <p><b>Special requirements:</b></p> <p>- Current VIT registration</p> <p>- Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is advantageous.</p> <p>Applicants are asked to send their application letter addressing the selection criteria above, an application form, a Curriculum Vitae and the details of three referees to the Principal via Teachers on Net.</p> <p>If you require any further information about this position, please do not hesitate to contact Alison Bretag, School Principal.<br></p> <p></p>
