The Catholic Schools Office (CSO) is currently seeking a Permanent Part Time Dance Director for ASPIRE to join the team in 2024. <br> <br> Would you like to work as part of a dynamic, progressive and supportive education community? <br> <br> ASPIRE is the Maitland/Newcastle Catholic Schools Office creative and performing arts program. <br> With an emphasis on fostering creativity the ASPIRE program has a large number of programs on offer including in schools workshops and performance support and professional development for staff as well as special projects in areas such as songwriting, scriptwriting, devising theatre and choreography. <br> ASPIRE also creates an original production each year through which students can audition to be a part of through dance, design, drama, musical and production ensembles. <br> <br><a href="https://diocesemn.azurewebsites.net/media/6683/position_description_-_cso_-_dance_director_-_aspire.pdf" target="_blank"><b><br><br><head3> <b>POSITION DESCRIPTION</b> </head3></b></a> <br> <br> In Consultation with the Artistic Director ASPIRE, increase the profile and quality of dance experiences for students in our diocese by: <br> <li>Working across all SPIRE ensembles involved in the Aspire Production to choregraph all musical numbers or direct other staff as to aesthetic required for various musical numbers.&nbsp;<br></li> <li>Create choreography that supports the narrative of the annual production including.<br></li> <li>Working with the ASPIRE Team on dance and movement aspects for all Aspire performance projects.&nbsp;<br></li> <li>Working with schools’ staff to provide dance-based programs and projects that educate and engage students and develop staff understanding and capacity.<br></li> <li>Deliver extracurricular programs for students interested in dance including the Create Choreographic Program and a Musical theatre initiative.&nbsp;<br></li> <li>Manage and Deliver a Diocesan Multi-Cultural dance festival.&nbsp;<br></li>
