<p>Mount St Joseph is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced teacher to take on the position of Leader of Learning: Year / House. This position requires a commitment to our strong Catholic ethos and Josephite charism.<br /></p><p>The successful applicant will be committed to the Catholic ethos of the school and utilise effective learning and teaching strategies and technologies to address the needs of all students.</p><p>This position involves working closely with students, staff and parents in the area of student well-being and pastoral development.<br /></p><p>Essential Criteria:<br /></p><ul><li>a minimum of 5 years experience teaching in Catholic schools and preferably having held prior positions of responsibility<br /></li><li>accreditation to teach Religious Education with the ability to teach in another faculty area</li><li>proven ability to contribute to the ongoing development of Pastoral programs as well as the ability to work within and contribute to a team</li><li>ability to oversee the planning and organisation of a number of events and activities which are particular to the specific House and Year level.</li><li>recognised expertise as a classroom teacher: ability to engage students in quality learning experiences and maintain sound student management practices</li><li>excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills</li><li>knowledge and understanding of the learning and well-being of girls.</li><li>an ability to create a culture of excellence and high expectations through positive support of the student environment</li><li>a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic school within the broader Catholic Church</li><li>a willingness to contribute to co-curricular activities within the school</li><li>Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)</li><li>a comprehensive understanding of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) requirements</li><li>either a SCS employee ID registration or a commitment to register to teach in SCS.</li><li>The successful applicant will be able to clearly demonstrate:</li></ul><p>Applications must be addressed to the Principal, Narelle Archer with the following:<br /></p><ul><li>a cover letter</li><li>a current resume (CV)</li><li>three referees, including name and contact details ( At least one referee from your current employment)<br /></li></ul><p>Applications close: <b>4th December 2023</b></p> <p>Please note: The Principal has the discretion to interview candidates prior to the closing date. </p> <p><br /></p>
