<p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the part-time (0.22 FTE), ongoing position of Physical Education Teacher, commencing 27 January 2027.</p> <p><strong>Key Selection Criteria</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant will demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>A commitment to Catholic education, child safety and wellbeing, and the St Kevin’s Staff Code of Conduct.</li> <li>The ability to provide engaging, inclusive and high-quality Physical Education learning experiences for students of diverse abilities.</li> <li>Knowledge and application of evidence-informed practice, including direct and explicit teaching aligned with the MACS Vision for Instruction.</li> <li>The ability to use assessment and data to inform teaching, differentiate learning and maintain high expectations for all students.</li> <li>The ability to create calm, positive and engaging learning environments, with an understanding of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL).</li> <li>A passion for Physical Education, sport, health and wellbeing, encouraging active participation, teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship.</li> <li>Strong communication and collaboration skills and a willingness to support school sporting events, interschool sport and other Physical Education opportunities within the school community.</li> <li>Appropriate qualifications and current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.</li> </ul> <p>Applications</p> <p>Please email applications to Gabriella Leone, Principal, at <a href="mailto:principal@sktemplestowelr.catholic.edu.au?subject=Physical%20Education%20Teacher%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29" rel="nofollow">principal@sktemplestowelr.catholic.edu.au</a> by 4.00 pm, Friday 16 October 2026.</p> <p>Applications should include:</p> <ul> <li>A covering letter addressing the selection criteria</li> <li>A completed St Kevin’s Application for Employment Form</li> <li>Required certification and proof of identity</li> <li>Child safety information</li> <li>Contact details for three referees - ensure that one of these referees is your current principal.</li> </ul>
