<p>St Augustine’s Primary School Keilor is seeking a dynamic Physical Education teacher to join our team (Wednesday, Thursday and half day Friday). This is a fixed term, part time position with a .5 allocation to commence January 27th, 2027. Graduates and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.</p> <p>We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Physical Education Teacher who will be able to develop the skills of our students across a variety of sporting activities and experiences.</p> <p>The successful applicant will have a commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.</p> <p>The successful applicant will possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning.</p> <p>The successful candidate will be appropriately qualified, demonstrate enthusiasm and the ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities, and be able to provide care and support for students whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment.</p> <p>They must also have excellent classroom management skills and have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contribute to and enact the School Improvement Plan.</p> <p>Applicants are asked to demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>a proven ability to prepare and conduct weekly Physical Education lessons from Prep to Year 6</li> <li>an ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues;</li> <li>an enthusiasm to create an engaging, educational and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students</li> <li>an eagerness to learn</li> <li>an ability and willingness to organise sporting events such as whole school sports day, interschool sports, sporting gala days and organise students and staff members and inform parents of these sporting events</li> <li>An ability to maintain and develop school Physical Education resources</li> </ul> <p>Special Requirements:<br> &nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>current VIT registration and proof of personal identity and any professional or other qualifications.</li> <li>accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school or display a willingness to undertake this qualification</li> </ul> <p>This community is committed to the safety, well-being and protection of all children in our care.</p>
