<p><strong>Key Responsibilities include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate, develop, and maintain effective teaching practices and positive relationships with students and colleagues.&nbsp;</li> <li>Contribute actively to a collaborative professional culture focused on reflection, improvement and shared practice.</li> <li>Possess the skills and knowledge to teach the NSW Creative Arts syllabus, particularly Visual Arts, across K-6.</li> <li>Create opportunities for students to generate, refine and share original artistic ideas, encouraging creative thinking, risk-taking and personal expression.</li> <li>Demonstrate the skill, creativity and enthusiasm to integrate Visual Arts learning across Key Learning Areas where meaningful and authentic connections exist.</li> <li>Willingness to support the Christian ethos of Lutheran School.</li> <li>Create a nurturing, ordered, and learner-centred environment that supports student engagement and achievement.</li> </ul> <p><strong>To be successful in this role you must have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact confidently and sensitively with staff, parents and students &nbsp;</li> <li>A current NSW Education Teacher registration (NESA) &nbsp;</li> <li>Teaching experience preferable&nbsp;</li> <li>A current First Aid Certificate</li> <li>A current NSW Working with Children Check</li> <li>A willingness to attain the accreditation required by Lutheran Education if applicable.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Selection criteria:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Professional skills that foster partnerships with students, parents, and staff &nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of current education practice and NESA curriculum documents &nbsp;</li> <li>Confidence, flexibility, teamwork, and perseverance in a learning community &nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to support the Christian ethos of the school community&nbsp;</li> </ul>
