We are seeking an experienced and compassionate educator to undertake the role of Senior Years Pastoral Care Leader (Clan Guardian) in an acting capacity commencing Term 1 2027, concluding at the end of Term 3 2027.

<p>In partnership with&nbsp;College&nbsp;leaders,&nbsp;the Clan Guardian works with&nbsp;homegroup teachers and families, you will lead and coordinate pastoral care initiatives that promote student wellbeing,&nbsp;engagement&nbsp;and personal growth. You will be a visible and approachable presence within the school community, supporting students to thrive academically,&nbsp;socially&nbsp;and emotionally while helping to strengthen Clan culture and connectedness.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>This position includes a teaching&nbsp;component&nbsp;and should be read in conjunction with the responsibilities of a teaching role.&nbsp;The key responsibilities are to:&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Build strong pastoral relationships with students in Years 10-12 and support their wellbeing, personal&nbsp;growth&nbsp;and engagement.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead and implement wellbeing and pastoral care programs that respond to the needs of individual students and year levels.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with families, teachers,&nbsp;counsellors&nbsp;and College leaders to support student outcomes.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Mentor student leaders and oversee Clan activities,&nbsp;meetings&nbsp;and community-building initiatives.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Support student transitions, orientation&nbsp;programs&nbsp;and leadership development opportunities.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead Clan events and contribute to key College activities including sporting and community events.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;pastoral records and manage administrative requirements associated with student care and wellbeing.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>About you:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The successful candidate will&nbsp;demonstrate:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Experience leading pastoral care,&nbsp;wellbeing&nbsp;or student development initiatives.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>A strong understanding of adolescent development and contemporary wellbeing practices.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>The ability to mentor, coach and inspire both students and colleagues.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Sound judgement,&nbsp;empathy&nbsp;and the ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>A collaborative leadership style and commitment to the values and culture of the College.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>How to Apply:</strong></p> <p>Applications for this position close <strong>Friday 2 October 2026&nbsp;however early applications are encouraged</strong>.
