Serving approximately 1,400 students across its Brookfield, Toolern Vale and Online campuses, MCC provides a nurturing environment where students are supported to flourish academically, spiritually, personally and vocationally. The Director of Education is part of the Executive team shaping the College-wide vision and long-term strategy for teaching, learning and student growth, and ensuring innovation remains purposeful, measurable and responsible.

Reporting directly to the Principal and firmly aligning to MCC’s Christian mission and future direction, the Director of Education develops and leads a coherent future-of-learning approach, across pedagogy, curriculum, assessment, and academic performance, in a highly relational, inclusive and evidence-informed manner. The Director designs and delivers a professional learning program that values staff agency, building the capability of leaders and teachers, translating research and emerging educational trends into practical and sustainable improvement.

The successful candidate demonstrates:

<li>Active commitment to Christian leadership, and the mission, vision and values of the College</li>
<li>Strategic leadership of pedagogy, curriculum design, assessment, feedback and reporting across all sites</li>
<li>Success strengthening educational pathways and learning opportunities to prepare students for further studies, training, employment and adult life</li>
<li>Effective coaching and role modelling to impact and enhance staff capability and a culture of continuous improvement</li>
<li>Strategic insight utilising data to inform and improve pedagogy, curriculum design and learning engagement</li>
<li>Proven executive experience managing educational operations, resources, compliance and risk; and</li>
<li>Highly developed relational and communication skills to engage staff, students, families and the wide community.</li>
</ul> Offered as a five-year fixed-term contract with a flexible commencement in 2027, applicants must have a right to work in Australia, an appropriate education qualification and current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration, or the capacity to obtain registration.
