<p><strong>About Our School</strong><br><br>
St Charles' Catholic Primary is a two-stream K- 6 co-educational Catholic School, situated in Waverley. We are committed to delivering a Catholic education that is underpinned by the Franciscan Core Values of 'Peace', 'Simplicity' and 'Courtesy'.<br><br>
We invite collaborative and energetic educators to apply for the permanent part-time (0.5 FTE) position that will commence in Term 1, 2027. This position will be for a K-6 Creative Arts teacher. The successful applicant must be available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week. These days are not negotiable as they align with our Professional Planning Time. The Creative Arts syllabus includes Music, Dance, Drama and Visual Arts. Ideally, the successful applicant will be able to teach across all four areas. This position will be for the Visual Arts and Dance components. Applicants should include details around their interests, experience and/or qualifications in Creative Arts within their cover letter/CV. For 2027, this position will also include an additional temporary 0.1FTE. 2.5 days permanent and 0.5 days temporary (3 days in total).<br><br>

The successful candidate will demonstrate:</p>

<li>expertise within Creative Arts</li>
<li>sound knowledge in K-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies</li>
<li>skill in utilising formative and summative assessments to drive student progress</li>
<li>a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback</li>
<li>an ability to create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to diverse student needs</li>
<li>a commitment to supporting the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students</li>
<li>excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being</li>
<li>confidence in integrating technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences (e.g. Google applications including Google Slides and Google Docs, promethean whiteboards and iPads/Chromebooks).</li>
</ul>
<p>You will have attained:</p>
<ul>
<li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li>
<li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li>
<li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools">Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</a>.</li>
