These principles have particular resonance for the Director of Finance &amp; Business Operations: this is an executive role in which prudent stewardship, sound judgement and organisational excellence directly enable the College’s educational mission and future development. <br> <br> With a flexible commencement time, and reporting to the Executive Principal, serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Director of Finance &amp; Business Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership across Finance, ICT, Property &amp; Facilities, governance support and relevant trading operations. As Company Secretary, the Director will also support the Board’s effective governance through rigorous reporting, statutory administration and the provision of clear, accurate and timely information. <br> <br> The Director of Finance and Business Operations will translate the College’s strategic direction into sustainable financial, operational, technology and infrastructure priorities; lead annual and long-term budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning; strengthen governance, risk and organisational controls; oversee ICT strategy and service delivery; guide campus and facilities planning; and provide disciplined oversight of significant contracts and capital projects. The role includes leadership or oversight of major capital development, and direct responsibility for the Finance Manager, ICT Manager and Property &amp; Facilities Manager. <br> <br> Central to the appointment will be the ability to bring a whole-of-College perspective to decision-making. The successful candidate will combine sophisticated financial expertise and commercial judgement with the capacity to understand how resources, systems, facilities and technology serve educational priorities. They will be an astute and trusted adviser to the Executive Principal and Board, a capable leader of multidisciplinary teams and a constructive partner to educational and administrative leaders across the College. <br> <br><strong>Key Selection Criteria:</strong> <br> <ul> <li>A committed personal Christian faith, active involvement in a local church and the capacity to model PVCC’s Christian values and contribute authentically to the spiritual life of the College.</li> <li>Extensive senior financial leadership experience, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and CPA, CA or equivalent professional status.</li> <li>Highly developed strategic and commercial judgement, with the ability to integrate financial, operational, project and risk information into clear advice, credible business cases and sustainable long-term plans.</li> <li>Significant experience working at executive level and with Boards or governing bodies, together with strong capability across governance, compliance, risk and organisational assurance.</li> <li>Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary professional teams and strengthening accountability, capability, collaboration and service quality.</li> <li>Proven capacity to oversee significant organisational resources and projects, ideally encompassing capital development, property and facilities, ICT, contracts or other corporate service functions.</li> </ul> These capabilities reflect the essential requirements and specialist knowledge identified for the appointment, including senior financial leadership, Board engagement, multidisciplinary team leadership, governance and compliance expertise, major project experience and strong commercial acumen. Experience in education, the not-for-profit or faith-based sector, together with substantial company secretarial experience, will be highly regarded. <br> <br> PVCC is committed to child safety and maintains zero tolerance for child abuse.
